I feel cheated!
Hey... what gives here, eh? Have a look for yourself (below) -- do you see what I'm talking about?
As I said a few weeks back, they (the builders) seem to be building the walls from the top of the street down (unlike the foundations which they poured from the bottom up). So, my neighbour to the LEFT has his walls up... and my neighbour to the RIGHT has his walls up... so what gives? They skipped me!
My best guess is that it has to do with my stairs. You see, part of the reason that I chose my layout was because the stairs are in the middle of my home, thus creating an artifical barrier between my living and dining rooms. In today's world of “open concept” design, it is hard (nay, impossible) to find a floorplan that includes walls between rooms. That said, my stairs are the type that go “down a few steps, landing, down a few more”, so maybe they're trying to construct the other homes first... the ones with the easy staircases.
Regardless, I had a good time getting out there again on what turned out to be a nice afternoon. Maybe next week I'll have walls. Here's hoping (again)!
